My daughter Rebecca was suffering from severe headaches and flu like symptoms. She went to the Doctors who diagnosed her with Sinusitis and she was in and out of hospital. It was June 18th 2012, when her doctor admitted her again to emergency in a Queensland hospital. She hadn’t been responding to any medication. They performed a lumbar puncture and diagnosed her with the rare form of fungal meningitis. However the medicine was not working for her and they flew her to a Brisbane hospital but it was too late. She passed away on June 21, 2012, in Brisbane just six weeks after the headaches had started. Bec was able to donate her heart. We are now raising her 5 year old daughter Rylee.
