A 10-year-old girl from rural South Australia is in hospital in a stable condition after being diagnosed with meningococcal.
The strain of the virus is not yet determined.
Multiple people who have had contact with the girl have been alerted and directed to receive clearance antibiotics.
This is the state’s twenty-fifth reported case for the year.
Of the previous 24 cases, 15 have been of the B strain, four were serogroup Y and four were serogroup W.
