- Meningococcal B needle: Protects against type B.
Are the vaccines/needles FREE?
Yes — the Meningococcal ACWY needle (protects against types A, C, W, and Y) is free.
No — the Meningococcal B needle (protects against type B) isn’t free in some states like Western Australia.
